What happens at the first appointment?

At your first massage appointment, you will be asked to complete a ‘Health History’ form. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early as this will give you enough time to complete your form without interrupting any treatment time. We will then discuss your current state and/or symptoms and cover your goals for your massage treatment.

If you are coming for your first remedial massage session, I will assess your posture and the quality of your movements after our interview. I may perform specific orthopedic tests on you to help me locate the potential causes of your pain or dysfunction before your treatment commences.  The duration for your very first remedial treatment is to be booked for at least 60 minutes.

How soon will I see results?

Usually after the first treatment, we immediately see less pain (if applicable) and improved symptoms depending on the issue. In saying that, some clients commonly report that they see great changes and improved function during their treatment plan over several treatments. Many factors are dependent when determining how quickly you will see results including: the stage or severity of your condition; your overall health; life events which either aid, change or hamper your treatment and compliance with the self-care treatments suggested to you during your sessions.

How do I book an appointment?

Simply visit the clinic, or phone 0437 045 051 to find a time that suits you for your appointment. If you prefer to drop us a line, you can use the email facility on our contact page  or email kerriebodycopehealth.com.au. If our answering machine takes your message, I may be treating.  In this case your call is guaranteed to be returned immediately after the current client’s treatment. Please remember to speak loudly, slowly and clearly, leaving your name, best contact number, the best time for us to phone you back and the reason for your call. At times we cannot return calls, as the return phone number that the caller leaves cannot be understood clearly.

If I am sick with a cold or flu, should I still come to my appointment?

NO DEFINATELY NOT! *Please do not come in* for your appointment if you are in the early and most contagious stage of a cold or flu (the first 48-72 hours) or if you know you’re ill. We appreciate your thoughtful consideration if you would please phone or email and give as much notice as possible, so your spot can be filled. Thank you for understanding!

What is your cancellation policy?

I kindly ask for your consideration of at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your booking, so then your appointment time can be taken by another person. Please call us on 0437 045 051 or email kerrie@bodyscopehealth if you cannot make your appointment.  We understand things happen.

How can I pay?

We accept Cash, EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard and Direct Bank Transfer (funds to be cleared 24 hours prior to treatment).

Can I claim on my Private Health Fund?

YES!  We are registered with ALL participating Health Funds for Remedial Massage.  You can claim on the spot with HICAPS in the Clinic if you are covered for Remedial Massage.  Please check your policy to see if your treatment is covered.
